"This is not the beginning of the end, rather the end of the beginning," Russell states, drawing parallels with other successful drivers who peaked in their late 20s and early 30s. He notes that Lewis Hamilton was 29 when joining Mercedes and beginning his championship streak.

Despite being the more experienced driver, Russell emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and staying open-minded. He acknowledges the increasing trend of younger drivers entering Formula 1, having made his own debut at age 20.

Regarding his teenage teammate Antonelli, Russell expresses confidence in the 18-year-old's abilities: "He is such a fantastic driver. He does not have the experience yet, but I am sure he will be up to speed very quickly." Russell stresses that Antonelli's feedback will be equally valuable despite his youth.

The team has also welcomed back Valtteri Bottas as reserve driver for 2025. Russell highlights the value of Bottas's experience, particularly his recent work with Ferrari-powered Sauber. Despite past tensions, Russell confirms their relationship has improved significantly, noting they often train and travel together.
