Sophia Floersch Joins HMD Motorsports for 2025 Indy NXT Campaign

German racer Sophia Floersch joins HMD Motorsports for the 2025 Indy NXT championship, marking her transition to American motorsports. The 24-year-old brings extensive experience from FIA Formula 3, DTM, FIA World Endurance Championship, and European Le Mans Series.

Floersch recently completed testing with HMD at Barber Motorsports Park and expressed excitement about racing in the United States. "My aspiration has always been to race with the best of the best," she stated, noting America's openness to female racers and its position as the world's largest racing market.

At HMD Motorsports, Floersch joins a strong rookie lineup including Hailie Deegan and Tommy Smith, alongside experienced drivers Caio Collet, Josh Pierson, Bryce Aron, and Nolan Allaer.

HMD team president Mike Maurini welcomed Floersch, emphasizing their commitment to helping her succeed in Indy NXT and potentially advance to the NTT IndyCar Series. The season begins in March at St. Petersburg, where Floersch will make her American racing debut.
