Taylor Wason Clinches First-Ever CDRA Championship Crown
Taylor Watson earned his first CDRA championship through remarkable consistency rather than victories. Despite not winning a single race during the JAM Performance CDRA season, his steady performance included three top-5 and four top-10 finishes, with consecutive podium appearances at Albany-Saratoga and Glen Ridge.

Starting his open-wheel Sportsman Modified career in 2019, Watson quickly proved his talent with wins at Malta and the Ridge in Limited Sportsman. He successfully moved up in 2023, securing a victory at Malta in his rookie season against top competitors.
Watson particularly excels at Glen Ridge, citing the short track's demanding nature as a perfect match for his driving style. His racing passion stems from family influence, drawing inspiration from dirt Modified racer Stewart Friesen and Kyle Larson.
The championship run was supported by key sponsors including Elmo's Speed Supply, Lenihan Paving, Lake Auto Parts, Fastenal, and Express Employment. Watson plans to defend his title in the 2025 season.
