
TWG Global Launches Major New Motorsports Division with F1, IndyCar Teams
TWG Global, a major sports investment company, has unveiled TWG Motorsports as its newest division dedicated to unifying top motorsports organizations worldwide. The division aims to drive competitive excellence and innovation across multiple racing disciplines.

The portfolio includes five prominent racing teams:
- Cadillac Formula 1 Team (debuting 2026)
- Andretti Global (IndyCar, Indy NXT, Formula E)
- Spire Motorsports (NASCAR Cup and Truck Series)
- Wayne Taylor Racing (IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship)
- Walkinshaw Andretti United (Repco Supercars Championship)
Dan Towriss, CEO of Group 1001 Insurance, will lead TWG Motorsports as CEO. The company was established in late 2024 by TWG Global co-chairs Mark Walter and Thomas Tull.
"TWG Motorsports has the opportunity to drive true transformation in racing, set new standards for the industry and build a legacy of success across the globe," said Towriss, whose Group 1001 Insurance manages over $66 billion in assets.
This expansion adds to TWG Global's impressive sports portfolio, which includes:
- Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB)
- Chelsea Football Club
- Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL)
- Partial ownership of Los Angeles Lakers (NBA)
- Stake in Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA)
The new motorsports division represents TWG Global's commitment to expanding its influence in professional sports while fostering innovation and excellence in racing.
