Verstappen secured the title by finishing ahead of Lando Norris, making the final two rounds in Qatar and Abu Dhabi mathematically irrelevant for the championship battle. At just 27 years old, Verstappen's achievements have placed him among Formula 1's elite competitors.

"He is a true great of this sport and has so much more to look forward to in his impressive career," said Domenicali, who previously worked with Michael Schumacher at Ferrari. "This season has been thrilling and 2025 looks set to be even closer."

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff emphasized Verstappen's exceptional performance, particularly in the latter half of the season when Red Bull's competitive advantage diminished. "He dominated in the first half of the year with both driver and car, and then in the second half, it was pure driver domination," Wolff stated.

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella particularly praised Verstappen's consistency, noting his ability to win championships both with superior and less competitive machinery. "This title confirms that Max is one of the best drivers in the history of Formula 1," Stella remarked, highlighting Verstappen's exceptional talent in extracting maximum performance regardless of his car's capabilities.

Stella added that Verstappen's achievements in 2024, often without having the best car, definitively prove we are witnessing "the era of Max Verstappen," with his success being well-deserved rather than merely a product of superior equipment.
