Veteran Sprint Car Champion Mark Smith Joins Kyle Keen as Mentor and Crew Chief for 2025
Kyle Keen Motorsports has announced Mark Smith will join the team as crew chief and mentor for the 2025 season. Smith brings approximately 200 career wins and extensive sprint car racing experience to help accelerate Keen's development in the competitive Central Pennsylvania sprint car circuit.
Smith's role will encompass crew chief duties while mentoring Keen, who began racing 305 sprint cars in 2019 before progressing to 358 sprint cars in 2022 and 410 sprint cars in 2024. With expertise in car setup, fabrication, shocks, and maintenance, Smith will help optimize both vehicle performance and Keen's driving capabilities.
The partnership builds on a 20-year relationship between the families, including Smith's previous role as driver for Keen's father. Smith, who owns Mach 1 Chassis, will continue his own racing schedule while prioritizing his commitments to Kyle Keen Motorsports.
For the 2025 season, fans can expect to see the Fine Line Auto Body No.17k competing regularly at Port Royal Speedway and BAPS Motor Speedway, with additional events to be announced.
