Alex Yankowski, a Northeast Big Block Modified driver, joins the prestigious 2024 Chili Bowl Midget Racing event as part of the Keith Kunz Motorsports team alongside Super DIRTcar Series Champion Mat Williamson.

Making his debut at the historic Oklahoma venue, Yankowski expressed admiration for the building's rich heritage, noting its unique and nostalgic atmosphere. During Sunday's crucial practice sessions, he participated in two rounds of testing, demonstrating significant improvement between runs.

Rather than completely altering his driving style for the midget car, Yankowski describes his approach as an adaptation process, focusing on comfort and smooth handling. He'll compete in his preliminary night on Wednesday, putting his preparations to the test.

The rookie's measured approach and steady progress during testing suggests he's well-prepared for his first Chili Bowl appearance, joining nearly 400 competitors in one of dirt track racing's most prestigious events.
