Cadillac Lyriq Offers 2 Years Free EVgo Charging Or Home Charger Installation
Cadillac is offering 2023 Lyriq owners two years of unlimited complimentary charging through the EVgo network. As an alternative, buyers can opt for Cadillac to cover the installation costs of home charging equipment instead of the complimentary public charging benefit.
The partnership with EVgo provides Lyriq owners access to over 850 fast-charging locations across more than 60 metropolitan areas. EVgo's network continues to expand, with plans to add hundreds more charging stations nationwide.
This charging incentive follows similar programs from other luxury EV manufacturers, aiming to ease the transition to electric vehicles for new owners. The flexibility to choose between public charging credits or home charging installation makes the offer particularly valuable for different types of users.
The Cadillac Lyriq, starting at $62,990, represents the brand's first all-electric vehicle and serves as a cornerstone of Cadillac's commitment to an all-electric future. The SUV offers an EPA-estimated range of 312 miles and supports both AC and DC fast charging capabilities.
Both charging options provide significant value to new Lyriq owners. While public charging suits frequent travelers, the home charging installation option benefits those who primarily charge at home, offering long-term convenience and potentially lower operating costs.
