Fallows exits Aston Martin F1 role amid team's performance struggles
Dan Fallows' departure from his technical director role at Aston Martin Formula 1 team is primarily due to performance issues rather than Adrian Newey's upcoming arrival, according to performance director Tom McCullough.

While Fallows, who joined from Red Bull as head of aerodynamics in 2022, will remain within the broader organization, his exit comes amid the team's struggle to meet performance expectations during the 2024 season. The decision was made prior to Newey's announcement of joining the team.
McCullough acknowledged Fallows' significant contributions to the development of both the 2022 and 2023 cars but emphasized that the team's 2024 performance fell short of targets. "The development of these cars has been hard; ultimately it's a performance-based industry," McCullough stated.
The team doesn't plan to directly replace Fallows, instead redistributing his responsibilities among existing personnel. Bob Bell, who joined earlier this year, will continue overseeing technical functions, with Eric handling aerodynamics responsibilities. The existing organizational structure, including Luca and other team members, will support the transition.
