The New Zealand driver will team up with returning driver Yuven Sundaramoorthy and former HMD teammate Myles Rowe as Abel Motorsports expands its program.
"Our goal in 2025 is simple: contend for the Indy NXT by Firestone championship," said Hedge. "2024 was a time for learning and growing, but now joining Abel Motorsports I feel really confident about our chances of being a winner in 2025 and continuing the great lineage of Kiwis in the IndyCar system."
Team owner Bill Abel first met Hedge in New Zealand in 2023 and has been monitoring his progress since. "Callum's first season in Indy NXT was great, he really showed some flashes of brilliance," Abel stated. "There is no reason that Callum can't compete for podiums, wins, and ultimately the 2025 championship."
Hedge joins the team with support from Tasman Motorsports and other New Zealand business entities.
