Top Kart Drivers Selected for Radford F4 'Karts to Cars' Scholarship Program
Three talented young karters will join the Radford Racing School F4 U.S. "Karts to Cars" Scholarship School this December 5-6 in Chandler, Arizona. This prestigious program helps top karters transition into single-seater race cars.

This year's scholarship recipients include:
- Ty Arbogast (14) - Undefeated champion in Briggs L0206 Junior class at New Castle Motorsports Park
- Vaughn Beesley (17) - KA100 class champion at NCMP with multiple class victories
- Sarah Bradley - First female participant, ROK Cup Florida Winter Tour winner and ROK Championship runner-up
The two-day program features:
- Ground school instruction
- Skid control training
- Lead-follow sessions
- Braking technique development
- Shifting and handling drills
- Hands-on experience with Ligier JS F4-16 chassis
- Professional instruction from experienced racers
The scholarship program has already proven successful, with notable graduate Patrick Woods-Toth winning both the F4 U.S. Championship (2023) and Formula Regional Americas Championship (2024) after attending in 2022.
"This program is a proven way for new drivers to develop their skills and go on to win races and championships," says Scott Goodyear, F4 U.S. Race Director. "The instructors do a terrific job acclimating these karters to race cars, while sharing their own first-hand knowledge as they get the drivers up to speed."
Participants will train using the same equipment as the Ligier JS F4 Series, including:
- Ligier JS F4-16 chassis
- Hankook racing slicks
- Honda 2.0-liter Mountune engine
The program includes a two-day school with an optional third lapping day, providing these promising young drivers with invaluable experience as they advance their racing careers.
