Benson demonstrated his potential in three ASCS Tour appearances during 2024, showcasing impressive speed and earning an outside pole position at Arrowhead Speedway. Despite a rollover crash ending his night early, the experience reinforced his readiness for national competition.
His racing background includes success in Micro Sprint divisions, progressing through Junior, Restricted, and 600cc classes. In 2023, he transitioned to 305 Sprint Cars before making his 360 Sprint Car debut with ASCS.
The decision to join ASCS was influenced by the tour's structured schedule, tow money, points fund, and exposure through DIRTVision under World Racing Group's new management. Benson sees this as a stepping stone toward his ultimate goal of competing with the World of Outlaws.
He'll race alongside established champions including Seth Bergman, Blake Hahn, Sam Hafertepe Jr., and Jason Martin. His rookie ASCS National Tour campaign begins at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Oklahoma on April 12, with support from multiple sponsors including Engler Machine & Tool, Don's Diesel, and Quality Traffic Control.
