Taylor Barnard made history by becoming Formula E's youngest pole winner at 20 years and 259 days during qualifying for the second race of the Jeddah E-Prix.

The NEOM McLaren driver secured pole position by defeating Oliver Rowland in the final Duel with a margin of 0.363 seconds. Barnard dominated qualifying, setting the fastest lap times in three separate sessions.

His path to pole included victories over Antonio Felix da Costa (by 0.227s) and Jake Hughes (by 0.431s) in earlier Duels. Rowland had advanced by beating Friday's winner andpolesitter, then Stoffel Vandoorne in a close semifinal.
