2025 Daytona 500 Starting Grid Set with Historic 41-Car Field

The starting lineup for the 67th annual Daytona 500 features 41 cars, marking the first time since 2015 that more than 40 cars will take the green flag.

Front row starters Chase Briscoe and Austin Cindric will lead the field, with Bubba Wallace in third after winning the first qualifying duel race. Erik Jones starts fourth, followed by defending Daytona 500 winner William Byron in fifth.

Notable starters include:

  • Denny Hamlin (8th) seeking his fourth Daytona 500 victory
  • Defending Cup Series champion Joey Logano (10th)
  • JR Motorsports' Cup Series debut with Justin Allgaier (19th)
  • Kyle Busch (21st) making his 20th Daytona 500 start
  • Rookie Shane van Gisbergen (26th)
  • Former champions Martin Truex Jr. (39th) and Jimmie Johnson (40th)
  • Open-wheel champion Helio Castroneves (41st) making his Cup Series debut

The field includes eight former Daytona 500 winners:

  • Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (2023)
  • Austin Cindric (2022)
  • Michael McDowell (2021)
  • Denny Hamlin (2016, '19, '20)
  • Austin Dillon (2018)

Manufacturer representation includes 17 Chevrolets, 13 Fords, and 11 Toyotas. Four drivers failed to qualify: Chandler Smith, Anthony Alfredo, BJ McLeod, and JJ Yeley.
