Airborne Park Speedway Champions Crowned at Annual Awards Banquet
Airborne Park Speedway's Night of Champions honored the outstanding achievers of the 2024 racing season, with Mike Mahaney securing the 358 Track Championship, Donovan Lussier winning the Sportsman Champion title, Shawn Duquette claiming the Renegade Championship, and Ryan Senegal taking home Mini Stock honors.

Under new management by Mike and Alayne Bruno, the speedway successfully transitioned to Thursday night racing, avoiding regional conflicts and attracting top talent. The move proved successful, with over 275 people attending the awards banquet.

Donovan Lussier's championship victory was particularly noteworthy, coming down to an exciting final race. "We adapted quickly and put together the right setup. Once we achieved that first victory, the season just got better," Lussier reflected.

Kenny Marshall received the Dedication Award for his 50-year service as a flagger, while George and Julie Huttig were honored with the prestigious Leon Gonyo Award for their lifetime contributions to motorsports.

Looking ahead to 2025, the speedway plans to add a Limited Sportsman Modifieds division, building on this year's success. Bruno noted, "The competition level exceeded expectations, with drivers from Vermont, New York, and Canada creating an excellent mix of talents."
