The AMR25 represents an evolution of its predecessor, featuring significant changes to improve drivability and enhance driver confidence. Notable modifications include redesigned sidepods and substantial floor revisions aimed at achieving better rear-end stability.
Team Principal Andy Cowell emphasized the extensive development work conducted at the AMR Technology Campus, highlighting the team's commitment to excellence. The focus has been on creating a more manageable car for drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, while acknowledging the competitive challenges ahead in the 2025 season.
After finishing fifth in the 2024 constructors' championship, Aston Martin is taking a realistic approach to improvement, particularly with the significant regulation changes coming in 2026. Fernando Alonso expressed optimism about the team's progress, noting that lessons learned from 2024 have directly influenced the AMR25's development.
The team recognizes that competition will be intense in this final year under current regulations, but remains focused on strengthening their position and continuing their development trajectory with Aston Martin Aramco.
