BMW M3 Goes Electric: Quad-Motor Setup Powers Next-Gen Sports Saloon
The BMW M3 is undergoing its most significant transformation yet, becoming the first full-fat M car to embrace an all-electric powertrain, while still offering a traditional petrol variant.

The next-generation M3 will feature a groundbreaking quad-motor setup, with individual electric motors powering each wheel. While official power figures haven't been released, expectations suggest it could exceed 1,000hp. This configuration enables advanced torque vectoring, with precise control over power delivery and braking at each wheel for optimal handling.
BMW will continue to offer the current 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six engine alongside the electric variant, updated to meet the latest emissions standards.
