BMW's next-generation iDrive showcases revolutionary multi-display setup featuring a panoramic dashboard interface spanning the car's full width. Set to debut in all new BMW models from late 2025, the system introduces three key innovations:

The central element is the "Panoramic Vision" display – a black strip at the windscreen base that projects 3D information in three customizable sections:

• Driver information above the steering wheel
• Two configurable zones for driving modes, entertainment, and communications

Interaction methods include:

• Touchscreen controls
• Voice commands
• New multi-function steering wheel with context-aware buttons that adapt to current functions

An optional 3D head-up display projects navigation and key information directly onto the road ahead, reducing the need to look away from driving.

The system notably removes the traditional iDrive rotary controller, marking a significant shift in BMW's infotainment philosophy.

The technology will first appear in the new iX3 electric SUV, followed by the next-generation 3 Series. All new BMW models from late 2025 will feature this system.
