Brad Keselowski, a NASCAR Cup Series champion, continues his quest for two elusive achievements: winning the Daytona 500 and securing a second championship title.

Despite being one of NASCAR's premier superspeedway racers and leading 180 laps across his 15 attempts, the Daytona 500 victory remains just out of reach. His closest brush with victory came in 2014, finishing third after a restart position on the outside front row. A memorable moment came in 2021 when his final-lap move for the win ended in a multi-car crash while battling then-teammate Joey Logano.

Keselowski's championship success came early in his career, winning the Cup Series title in 2012 with Roger Penske. Since then, he's made the Championship 4 only twice - in 2017 and 2020. Now at age 40, Keselowski acknowledges that a second championship would feel distinctly different from his first at age 28.

"I'm in a different place in my life in so many ways, personally, professionally and beyond, that that feels like another life," Keselowski reflects. "Things stand out as things you recognize and appreciate versus what you don't."

While the Daytona 500 remains a primary focus during Speedweeks, Keselowski maintains perspective on the long season ahead. "When they load those haulers up Sunday night it's going to be all Atlanta. It's over. Daytona doesn't exist anymore," he says, highlighting the beauty of NASCAR's lengthy season where each week brings new opportunities.
