Breaking: Logan Sargeant Ends Racing Career, Withdraws from ELMS 2025
Logan Sargeant, former Williams Racing F1 driver, has announced his departure from IDEC Sport and plans to step away from motorsport entirely.

IDEC Sport confirmed Sargeant's withdrawal from their 2025 European Le Mans Series program, where he was set to compete alongside Jamie Chadwick and Mathys Jaubert. The team was part of Genesis' preparation for their upcoming LMDh prototype program in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship.
The 24-year-old American made history as only the third U.S. driver to compete in Formula 1 this century, making 36 starts for Williams between 2023-2024. His career highlight came at the 2023 United States Grand Prix, where he scored his sole championship point before being released during the 2024 season.
Sargeant's previous experience in endurance racing showed promise, with successful outings in 2021. He competed in two European Le Mans Series races with Racing Team Turkey in LMP2 and secured two victories in three Le Mans Cup starts with Iron Lynx at Paul Ricard and Road to Le Mans.
His most recent motorsport activity included an IndyCar test with Meyer Shank Racing at The Thermal Club in October 2024. Notably, he had previously planned an IndyCar test with AJ Foyt Racing in 2021, which was cancelled when he joined the Williams Racing Academy.
IDEC Sport has stated they will announce Sargeant's replacement in the coming days.
