The 29-year-old driver last competed full-time in 2022 and has shown significant improvement in recent part-time campaigns. In 2024, Ware achieved his career-best finish of fourth place at Daytona International Speedway while maintaining an impressive 21.0 average finish across nine races.
"The NASCAR Cup Series is where every driver wants to be and I'm grateful to be back full time," said Ware. "I've improved as a driver and RWR has improved as a team, and this is, by far, the best opportunity I've had in NASCAR."
Since his Cup Series debut in 2017, Ware has accumulated 106 starts. Team owner Rick Ware, Cody's father, expressed confidence in the driver-crew chief pairing of Ware and Plourde, noting their strong chemistry during their limited races together in 2024.
For the 2025 season, Rick Ware Racing has leased its second charter (No. 15 Ford) to RFK Racing. The team will run as an Open car with Tim Brown competing in The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium.
