The race began with a three-car breakaway featuring Westin Workman, Jeremy Fletcher, and Gonzalez, who built a significant six-second gap to the field. A disabled car in Turn 10 brought out a full-course yellow, erasing their advantage and setting up an intense finish.

Nathan Nicholson claimed second place with an impressive restart move, briefly taking the lead before Gonzalez reclaimed the top spot. Jared Thomas rounded out the podium, extending his championship points lead with another consistent finish.

Notable performances included:

  • Sally Mott winning the Penske Shocking Performance Award, advancing from 30th to 10th place
  • Chris Haldeman claiming the Takumi Award for drivers over 50
  • Jeremy Fletcher finishing fourth after starting from pole
  • Nate Cicero completing the top five

The next round of the Mazda MX-5 Cup will take place at Barber Motorsports Park from May 2-4, with both races available for replay on The RACER Channel on YouTube.
