DeFrancesco Secures Multi-Year IndyCar Deal with Rahal Letterman Lanigan
Devlin DeFrancesco joins Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) in a multi-year deal, completing the team's driver lineup for their third entry. This move marks his return to IndyCar after a one-year hiatus in 2024.
The signing comes amid significant changes at RLL, with Christian Lundgaard departing for Arrow McLaren and Louis Foster joining to drive the No. 45 Honda. Graham Rahal remains in the No. 15 Honda for his 13th consecutive season.

DeFrancesco's racing background includes:
- Two seasons with Andretti Global IndyCar (2022-2023)
- Best championship finishes: 23rd (2022) and 22nd (2023)
- Top race result: 12th place
- Notable improvement on oval tracks
- 2022 Rolex 24 At Daytona LMP2 class winner
- 2024 IMSA campaign with Forte Racing Lamborghini (best finish: 2nd at Petit Le Mans)
"I'm very excited to be back in the IndyCar Series," DeFrancesco stated, with his sponsor package to be announced later.
Bobby Rahal, RLL co-owner, expressed confidence in DeFrancesco's abilities, citing his competitive performances at Andretti.
This signing fills one of the remaining seats for the 2025 season, with only three positions still open: two at Dale Coyne Racing (Honda) and one at Juncos Hollinger Racing (Chevy).
