The 24-year-old Colorado native will pilot the BG Automotive, Shark Racing Engines-powered Maxim Chassis No. 16G. Despite facing equipment challenges in his rookie year, Gossel managed six top-10 finishes in 26 Feature starts, with his best results being eighth place at both Texarkana Speedway and Lincoln County Speedway.

A significant highlight of his 2023 season came at the World Short Track Challenge at Riverside International Speedway, where he qualified for the main event among 57 competitors and finished 16th. This achievement showcased his particular strength on shorter tracks and bullrings, where his aggressive driving style proves most effective.

Gossel's racing journey benefits from the guidance of his father, Bryan Gossel, a veteran Sprint Car racer who introduced him to the sport. Their unique dynamic as both family and competitors adds an interesting dimension to their racing experiences.

Recently, Gossel has been expanding his skill set by competing with a 410 engine in World of Outlaws events, noting that the experience of handling higher speeds helps improve his control when returning to 360 Sprint Car racing.

Looking ahead to 2024, Gossel aims to capitalize on the lessons learned from his rookie season and his recent engine upgrade to Shark Racing Engines, which has already shown promising improvements in performance. His next challenge comes at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Oklahoma, where he'll continue his sophomore ASCS National Tour campaign.

The American Sprint Car Series, founded in 1992, has grown from regional races in the Southwest to become the country's premier 360 Sprint Car Series, featuring nine regional series encompassing various Sprint Car classifications.
