The Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort will conclude after the 2026 Formula 1 season, following a one-year extension to its current contract that was set to expire in 2025. The final season will feature a Sprint event as part of its farewell.

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali confirmed that various options were explored, including alternating years, before the promoter made their final decision. The Dutch Grand Prix's return has coincided with Max Verstappen's dominance in Formula 1, with the Dutch driver winning every race at Zandvoort except for a second-place finish this year. The event has become known for its festive atmosphere and strong fan engagement.
Robert van Overdijk, director of the Dutch Grand Prix, explained that the decision to end the event was based on careful consideration of business risks and responsibilities. The privately-owned operation aims to conclude on a high note with two more events in 2025 and 2026.
