Makowiecki joins after leaving Penske Hypercar, expressing pride in representing a French manufacturer with Alpine's rich motorsport heritage. He aims to contribute significantly to the team's development and pursuit of Le Mans victory.

Gounon advances from his reserve driver position after an impressive 2024 season, where he participated in four WEC races as a substitute driver. This promotion marks his first full WEC season campaign.

The pair replaces Nicolas Lapierre, who transitions to sporting director, and Matthieu Vaxiviere. Charles Milesi, Ferdinand Habsburg, Mick Schumacher, and Paul Loup Chatin remain with the team for 2025.

Bruno Famin, VP of Alpine Motorsports, emphasized that driver selection focused on combining speed with strong analytical capabilities. The team aims to build upon their first campaign's foundation and face the challenges of the 2025 season with a cohesive, talented driver lineup.
