EVgo and General Motors' Maven Gig have partnered to launch the first public-rideshare fast charging hub in Los Angeles, marking a significant advancement in EV charging infrastructure.

Located at 8985 Venice Blvd, the Venice Crossroads station features nine 50 kW DC fast chargers. Seven of these chargers are dedicated to Maven Gig's shared-use vehicles, while two remain available for public use.

This innovative charging hub incorporates EVgo's Autocharge technology, allowing for seamless charging initiation when compatible vehicles connect to the chargers. The feature eliminates the need for cards, apps, or other manual authentication methods.

The facility represents a new model for supporting the growing electric rideshare vehicle segment while maintaining public access to fast charging infrastructure.
