Ex-F1 Star Kvyat to Make Formula E Return in Jeddah Rookie Test

Daniil Kvyat will participate in Formula E's rookie free practice session ahead of the Jeddah E-Prix on February 13, joining DS Penske for the 40-minute session.

The former Formula 1 driver, who accumulated 110 starts and three podium finishes with Toro Rosso, Red Bull, and AlphaTauri, expressed enthusiasm about his first experience with Formula E's new-generation car. Kvyat has previous Formula E testing experience, having participated in the 2023 rookie test in Berlin and a rookie practice session in Rome with NIO.

Since leaving F1 in 2021, Kvyat has competed in NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series, World Endurance Championship, and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

  • Gabriele Mini (Nissan)
  • Jamie Chadwick (Jaguar TCS Racing)
  • Kush Maini (Mahindra)
  • Zak O'Sullivan (Envision Racing)

Lola Yamaha Abt, Andretti, and TAG Heuer Porsche are yet to announce their drivers for the mandatory rookie session, where all 11 teams must field one rookie driver.
