Key Features of GLGT:

  • 9:1 power-to-weight ratio (compared to GLTC's 12.5:1)
  • Four 20-minute races per event weekend
  • Practice and qualifying sessions
  • Table of Competition Balance system for fair racing
  • Emphasis on clean driving and enjoyment

The series will run alongside existing GRIDLIFE categories:

  • GRIDLIFE Touring Cup (GLTC)
  • GRIDLIFE RushSR Series
  • Track Battle Time Attack
  • GRIDLIFE Drift

According to GRIDLIFE co-founder Adam Jabaay, GLGT aims to replicate GLTC's success, which averaged 44 entries across 10 race weekends in 2024. The competition structure will maintain GRIDLIFE's commitment to close racing, with recent GLTC events seeing top 15 qualifiers separated by less than three-tenths of a second.

The inaugural GLGT season begins at the Midwest Festival (June 6-8, 2025) and continues throughout all remaining 2025 events. Beyond racing, GRIDLIFE events feature:

  • Concours showcasing 1980s-2000s vehicles
  • GRIDLIFE Arcade
  • Live music performances

The series integrates competitive motorsport with car culture celebration, providing a comprehensive automotive entertainment experience.
