The Racing Bulls rookie crashed during the formation lap of his Formula 1 debut, prompting Marko to tell Austrian broadcaster ORF that Hadjar's crying was "a bit embarrassing." Despite the public criticism, Hadjar revealed he spoke with Marko the following day and maintains a good relationship with him, noting potential misinterpretation of Marko's German comments.
Hadjar received unexpected support from fans and fellow drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, who sent him a personal message after the incident. Hamilton's father, Anthony, had consoled Hadjar trackside, reminding the rookie of Lewis's own early-career incident at Shanghai's pit entry.
The young driver has already moved past the incident, focusing on the upcoming Chinese Grand Prix. "I felt quite a lot better by Monday, especially knowing that it's a back-to-back weekend. I've got to run it back quite early, not having a month to dwell on it," Hadjar stated.
