Hamilton Struggles to Find Comfort Zone in Rain-Hit Ferrari Debut at Australian GP
Lewis Hamilton says he felt far outside his comfort zone during his Ferrari debut at the Australian Grand Prix, finishing 10th in challenging wet conditions.
Starting from eighth position behind teammate Charles Leclerc, Hamilton struggled with traffic and changing weather conditions. Despite briefly leading the race during a rain shower, he ultimately fell back to the final points-paying position.
"Everything is new, from the first time I'm driving this car in the rain, the car was behaving a lot different to what I've experienced in the past," Hamilton explained. "The power unit, all the steering functions, all the things that are thrown to you, you're trying to juggle all these new things."

The seven-time world champion acknowledged communication challenges with his new race engineer Riccardo Adami but remained positive about their partnership. "Riccardo did a really good job. We're learning about each other, and bit by bit, we'll download and go through all the comments," Hamilton said.
Hamilton believes there's untapped potential in the Ferrari, stating, "I do think in the actual car, there is a lot more performance, I just don't think we unlocked it this week." He plans to make setup changes for the next race to improve his confidence in the car.
The race highlighted the adjustments Hamilton faces in his transition to Ferrari, particularly in wet conditions and with new team operations. Despite the challenges, he remains focused on progress and understanding the car's capabilities.
