Hampton and Rose Racing Impress With Strong Start to World of Outlaws Season
Zach Hampton and Bill Rose Racing are off to a promising start in their World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars debut season, highlighted by a remarkable performance at Magnolia Motor Speedway.

Sprint car kicks up dirt racing
Despite early setbacks with rear-end troubles in the Heat Race, Hampton showcased his talent by advancing from last place in the Last Chance Showdown to secure a transfer spot. He then powered the No. 6 car from 22nd to 7th position in the Feature race, marking his first top 10 finish with the series.
The Hampton-Rose partnership represents a significant transition for both parties. Rose, traditionally a driver, has shifted into a crew chief role, while Hampton is adapting to focusing solely on driving after previously handling both roles. This arrangement has notably reduced Hampton's pressure, allowing him to concentrate entirely on racing performance.
"It's an insane amount of pressure lifted," Hampton explained. "Being able to sleep in a little bit later, be less tired at the end of the night, and not have all those other thoughts makes it so much easier."
Looking ahead, Hampton maintains a measured approach to the season, emphasizing steady improvement as their key objective. "If we can make one thing better every night, then we can keep trending in the right direction and by the end of the year we can have a better foundation," he stated.
The team continues their campaign at the Cowtown Classic at Kennedale Speedway Park, followed by the Federated Auto Parts Texas Two-Step at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, TX.
