Pfaff Motorsports has emerged stronger from a challenging period, partnering with Lamborghini for the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship after parting ways with McLaren. This new alliance marks a significant turnaround for the Canadian team, which had briefly faced uncertainty about its racing future.

Team principal Steve Bortolotti secured the partnership through a chance phone call with Lamborghini's Erik Skirmants, resulting in a full-season GTD PRO commitment. The team will field a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, featuring their signature plaid livery and backed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse's technical expertise.

The driver lineup includes Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli for the full season, with Jordan Pepper and James Hinchcliffe joining for endurance events. This combination of experienced Lamborghini factory drivers and fan-favorite talent positions Pfaff as a strong championship contender.

Despite receiving their car late, Pfaff has quickly adapted thanks to support from other Lamborghini teams. The Huracán GT3 EVO2's user-friendly design and modular construction have impressed the team's mechanics, while Caldarelli's impressive pace during the Roar Before The 24 has raised expectations for competitive success.

Bortolotti emphasizes this partnership's long-term nature, viewing it as a stable foundation for Pfaff's future in top-level sports car racing. With Lamborghini's upcoming Temerario GT3 on the horizon, the team aims to compete against established giants like Corvette Racing and prove their capability on the global stage.
