AO Racing has announced a refreshed driver lineup for their "Spike the Dragon" LMP2 entry in the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. PJ Hyett will return to pilot the distinctive purple-and-orange machine, now joined by four-time IMSA champion Dane Cameron for the full season.

Hyett demonstrated strong qualifying performance in 2024, securing four pole positions in seven races. Cameron's addition brings valuable experience to help secure the team's first win.
"I am excited to join AO Racing and Spike in 2025," said Cameron, formerly with Porsche Penske Motorsport. "We have everything we need to succeed this season, aiming for PJ and Spike's first IMSA wins and championship."
For endurance events, including the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the team has enlisted European Le Mans Series champion Jonny Edgar for the Michelin Endurance Cup races, while reigning Rolex 24 winner Christian Rasmussen joins specifically for Daytona.
Team principal Gunnar Jeannette expressed confidence in the enhanced lineup: "Having the reigning IMSA and ELMS champions alongside a Daytona winner is very special. I'm excited to see what they can accomplish in 2025."
The season begins with the Rolex 24 At Daytona on January 25-26, followed by a seven-race championship calendar matching the 2024 schedule.
