IMSA Champion Pipo Derani Joins DXDT Racing's Rolex 24 Lineup
IMSA champion Pipo Derani will join DXDT Racing for the 2025 Rolex 24 At Daytona in the No. 36 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R. The two-time WeatherTech SportsCar Championship winner and 2016 Daytona overall champion tested the car during IMSA's November Daytona session.

Derani, coming from Action Express Racing where he secured the 2021 DPi championship and 2023 GTP title, will step back from full-time IMSA racing in 2025 to focus on developing Genesis's new LMDh car for its 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship debut.
He joins Salih Yoluc, Charlie Eastwood, and Alec Udell in the No. 36 Corvette. This marks DXDT's WeatherTech Championship debut, with the team running a split GTD program - Yoluc, Eastwood, and Udell handling the Michelin Endurance Cup while Robert Wickens and another driver will compete in sprint races.
"I am excited to join DXDT," said Derani, who previously worked with DXDT's Erin Gahagan at Patron ESM. "DXDT had so much success last year and has a promising new chapter in IMSA starting in 2025. I hope to contribute to their IMSA success."
Team owner David Askew expressed enthusiasm about Derani's addition: "Pipo is a proven winner at this race and in this series. After watching him race and win in endurance races for the last decade, I know he has that special something to help us win this race."
The 63rd Rolex 24 At Daytona, scheduled for January 23-26, will mark DXDT's first WeatherTech Championship race after their successful run in Fanatec GT World Challenge America.
