IndyCar to Debut In-Helmet Cameras at Four Selected Races in 2025
The miniature Drivers' Eye camera system will debut in IndyCar during the 2025 season, marking a significant advancement in racing broadcast technology. Initially planned for the entire 17-race season, the system will now be featured in four selected races as part of IndyCar's new partnership with FOX Sports.

The implementation plan includes:
- Initial testing at the Acura Long Beach Grand Prix in April (practice session only)
- Live deployment after Long Beach
- Potential warm-up events at Barber Motorsports Park and Indianapolis Grand Prix
- Full implementation before the Indianapolis 500
Four selected drivers will carry the helmet-mounted cameras during these events. The scaled-back rollout allows the series and FOX Sports to ensure smooth integration of this new broadcast feature during their first season together.
The strategic deployment of Drivers' Eye technology aims to enhance viewer experience by providing unprecedented in-helmet perspectives during crucial races in the 2025 season.
