The Sentronics Flowsonic fuel flow meters, already used in Formula 1, IMSA, and World Endurance Championship, will provide standardized fuel flow and consumption rate measurements across all teams. This new implementation eliminates the need for constant fuel-rail and injector calibration processes, which were previously time-consuming and not always completely accurate.

Teams and manufacturers will now have access to real-time, reliable fuel burn rate data, enabling more precise pit stop and refueling strategy planning. The new spec fuel meters must be installed in every Dallara DW12 chassis competing in the series.

This technological upgrade marks a significant improvement in fuel monitoring accuracy and efficiency for the IndyCar Series, bringing it in line with other major motorsport championships' fuel measurement standards.
