After joining FastMD Racing with Remstar mid-season in their No. 87 Duqueine D08 LMP3, Jones secured an impressive record of seven poles and eight wins from 10 races in the VP Racing Challenge series, finishing second in the championship despite missing early races.

The 22-year-old racer is now targeting a move to the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, with particular interest in the LMP2 class. His diverse racing background, including experience in open-wheel, stock cars, and off-road racing, has helped him adapt quickly to prototype racing.

"The prototype fits my driving style really well," Jones explained. His success in the VP Challenge series came after receiving a last-minute call from FastMD when they needed a replacement driver, leading to immediate victories at St. Petersburg and Mid-Ohio.

Jones credits his successful season to mastering race management and traffic navigation. "I learned how to win a race by three seconds instead of by 20 seconds, and that you don't have to take the risk when it's not needed," he reflected. His ability to handle traffic efficiently became a key differentiator throughout the season.

While discussions with potential teams are in early stages, Jones's proven track record and racing pedigree make him a strong candidate for the step up to IMSA's premier series.
