The top five positions were dominated by Porsche-powered cars, with Antonio Felix da Costa finishing second, followed by Nissan's Oliver Rowland in third. Pascal Wehrlein completed a strong showing for TAG Heuer Porsche in fourth.
Jaguar TCS Racing's Mitch Evans placed fifth despite being impeded by traffic on his final fast lap, which showed promising pace with a session-best first sector. Envision Racing's Robin Frijns finished sixth as the last driver to break the 1m10s barrier, followed by teammate Sebastien Buemi in seventh.
Notable performances include:
- Nico Mueller: Eighth place after using his seasonal "joker" tire following Friday's wall contact
- Maximilian Guenther and Dan Ticktum: Completed the top 10
- Nick Cassidy: Struggled to 16th position
- Sam Bird: Hampered by front driveshaft issues
- Norman Nato and Lucas di Grassi: Unable to complete fast laps at 350kW power
The session demonstrated improved pace across the field as the track continued to rubber in following Friday's dusty conditions.
