Joey Logano Brushes Off Championship Criticism: 'I Don't Care What People Think'

Despite finishing 15th in the regular season with one victory, Logano dominated the postseason with three wins, including the championship race. Critics questioned the playoff format's integrity and his worthiness as champion, given his regular-season performance.
"It doesn't take anything away, in my opinion," Logano stated firmly. "And I honestly don't care what people think a lot of times if they're talking specifically about me."
While NASCAR maintains the current system for 2025, discussions about potential format changes for 2026 and beyond are underway. Logano remains supportive of the existing format, defending both his team's achievement and the championship structure against detractors.
The Team Penske driver's championship defense begins at the season-opening Daytona 500, where he'll aim to silence critics through continued success on the track.
