Jonathan Davenport Storms to DIRTcar Nationals Win, Thornton Jr. Claims Big Gator Championship
Jonathan Davenport captured his first World of Outlaws Late Models victory at Volusia Speedway Park during the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals finale. Starting from 12th position, "Superman" displayed exceptional skill by advancing through the field without the aid of cautions during the 50-lap Feature.

Davenport methodically worked his way forward, reaching the top 10 by Lap 5 and second position by Lap 20. He faced a significant challenge in overcoming a five-second gap to leader Drake Troutman. Using the high line while others stuck to the rubbered-up bottom groove, Davenport engaged in an intense side-by-side battle with Troutman before taking the lead with 10 laps remaining.
Despite late cautions, Davenport maintained his position to secure his second Gator trophy of the week. Rookie Drake Troutman impressed with a second-place finish, while Nick Hoffman rounded out the podium.
Ricky Thornton Jr. claimed the overall Big Gator championship and a $3,000 bonus, following an outstanding week that included two wins and four podium finishes. Davenport and Devin Moran finished second and third in the Big Gator standings, earning $2,000 and $1,000 respectively.
