
Jose Maria Lopez Steps in for Injured Barnicoat at Sebring 12 Hours
Two-time FIA World Endurance Champion Jose Maria Lopez will sub for Ben Barnicoat in the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 at the upcoming Twelve Hours of Sebring, following Barnicoat's mountain biking accident injury.

Lopez and Barnicoat currently race as teammates in Akkodis ASP's FIA WEC Lexus program, with Lopez in the No.87 car and Barnicoat splitting time between IMSA and the No.78 WEC entry.
Lopez brings significant experience at Sebring International Raceway, having won the final WEC 1000 Miles of Sebring in 2023 with Toyota Gazoo Racing. His only previous Twelve Hours of Sebring appearance resulted in a sixth-place overall finish, driving a Cadillac DPi-V.R for Action Express Racing.
A timeline for Barnicoat's return to racing has not yet been determined.
