King of the Hammers continues with three days of intense off-road racing across multiple vehicle classes. The competition has already seen significant action, with the main events promising even more excitement at California's Johnson Valley.

Today's Can-Am UTV Hammers Championship features six classes of side-by-sides, with top competitors in the 4900 Pro Open and Pro Mod categories. Ronnie Anderson (Polaris) secured pole position, narrowly beating Kyle Chaney's Can-Am by 0.194 seconds. Brock Heger, CJ Greaves, and Phil Blurton round out the top five qualifiers among 100 UTVs.

The Yokohama Tire Every Man Challenge takes place Friday, featuring production-based machines from manufacturers including Ford, Jeep, Dodge, Chevy, Suzuki, Volkswagen, Mahindra, and Toyota.

Saturday's Race of Kings concludes the event, with Paul Wolff qualifying first in his Unlimited car. Factory Ford Bronco RTR drivers Loren Healey and Vaughn Gittin Jr. qualified second and third, followed by Kyle Chaney and Bill Mcgibbon.

Earlier events have already produced notable results:

  • Chris Polvoorde dominated Sunday's Toyo Tires Desert Race in his Optima Ford Unlimited truck
  • Kyle Jergensen finished second overall in the T2 category
  • Brock Heger continued his winning streak in the Desert Challenge Limited class
  • Blake Wilkey won the PRP Seat Class Showdown in his vintage VW sedan

Recent highlights include Polvoorde's impressive victory, leading from pole to finish with co-driver Mike Kim. Their Mason Motorsports-built Ford maintained speeds ranging from 2mph in technical sections to over 130mph in open desert.

The Polaris team showed exceptional performance in the Desert Challenge, securing nine of the top ten positions. Doug Mittag and Dallas Gonzalez completed the podium, with Max Eddy Jr. taking fourth and Michael McFayden's Can-Am finishing fifth.
