The win showcased the successful partnership between Strickler and his new car builder Nick Hoffman, marking their second consecutive victory in major UMP Modified competition following their success at the World Short Track Championship.

Throughout the race, Strickler maintained a commanding lead despite multiple restarts and red flag periods. Trevor Neville, who moved into second place at the halfway point, mounted a serious challenge and narrowed the gap to 0.7 seconds with six laps remaining. However, Strickler's experience and skill prevailed as he successfully managed both his position and fuel consumption during crucial red-flag situations.

For Strickler, the 2023 Big Gator champion and 14-time Feature winner at Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, this victory completes his collection of major UMP Modified trophies at Volusia.
