Las Vegas Grand Prix Moves Start Time Two Hours Earlier for 2025
The Las Vegas Grand Prix will move its start time two hours earlier to 20:00 local time for the 2025 edition, aligning with other Formula 1 night races like Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
This adjustment from the previous 22:00 start addresses concerns about late-night temperatures and working hours for team personnel, who previously worked into the early morning hours. East Coast viewers will now catch the race at 23:00 instead of 01:00.

Single-seater racing cars on track
The earlier start time became feasible due to improved logistics in managing the Las Vegas Strip Circuit, which incorporates Las Vegas Boulevard.
This change brings Las Vegas in line with other F1 night races:
- Singapore: 20:00 local start
- Saudi Arabia: 20:00 local start
- Qatar: 19:00 local start
- Bahrain: 18:00 local start
- Abu Dhabi: 17:00 local start
The announcement comes as part of F1 and FIA's publication of all 2025 session times. Most races maintain their standard 15:00 local starts, except for:
- Miami: 16:00 local start
- Other Americas races (Montreal, Austin, Mexico City, Sao Paulo): 14:00 local start
- Japan: 14:00 local start
