Despite starting from pole, Guenther lost the lead to Rowland at Turn 13 on lap 11. Rowland built a considerable advantage after taking his first Attack Mode power boost in clear air and maintained it through the Pit Boost phase. However, Guenther's strategic energy management and well-timed Attack Modes allowed him to mount a late-race challenge.

In the closing laps, Guenther closed the gap to Rowland, attempting moves around the outside of Turn 8 before successfully diving up the inside at the final chicane to secure his first win since Tokyo last year.

Taylor Barnard completed the podium in third, ahead of Nyck de Vries in fourth, who matched his best result for Mahindra. Jake Hughes finished fifth, followed by Jean-Eric Vergne in sixth and Edoardo Mortara, who impressed with a seventh-place finish after starting from the back of the grid.

Points leader Antonio Felix da Costa managed to score points despite being hit by Nico Mueller on the opening lap. Championship contenders Pascal Wehrlein and Mitch Evans both failed to score following a first-lap collision, with Evans receiving a five-second penalty for causing the incident.

The results see Rowland take the championship lead, four points ahead of da Costa, with race winner Guenther moving up to third. In the manufacturers' standings, Nissan now leads thanks to podium finishes from both its factory team and McLaren, while TAG Heuer Porsche maintains a slim three-point lead over DS Penske in the teams' championship.
