Maserati's Hughes Tops Wet Formula E Practice in Mexico City
Jake Hughes led the second Mexico City E-Prix practice session in wet conditions, setting the pace for Maserati MSG with a time of 1m25.808s - notably 15 seconds slower than Friday's FP1 times due to the damp track.
The mixed weather conditions significantly reshuffled the running order, with only four drivers from Friday's top 10 maintaining their positions. The time spread between competitors also increased dramatically from 0.628s in FP1 to 1.719s in this session.
Nick Cassidy claimed second place for Jaguar TCS Racing despite a spin at Turn 15, finishing 0.157s behind Hughes. Pascal Wehrlein took third, leading a group of Porsche-powered cars. Jake Dennis placed fourth in his Andretti, while Friday's fastest driver Antonio Felix da Costa rounded out the top five.
