Maxime Martin Ends Long-Running BMW Partnership After 2024 Season
BMW M Motorsport and Maxime Martin have announced their separation ahead of the 2025 racing season, as the 38-year-old Belgian driver seeks new opportunities in motorsport.

Martin's relationship with BMW spans over a decade, beginning with his success in the BMW M Sports Trophy before becoming a works driver in 2013. His notable achievements with BMW include:
- American Le Mans Series and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship participation with BMW M Team RLL
- DTM competition from 2014-2017
- Victory at the 2016 Spa 24 Hours with ROWE Racing
- Podium finish at the 2023 Nurburgring 24 Hours
- Partnership with Valentino Rossi in GT World Challenge Europe
- GTP class appearances in the 2024 IMSA series at Daytona, Sebring, and Petit Le Mans
Between his BMW stints, Martin also achieved success with Aston Martin's factory program, including a Le Mans victory in 2020, before returning to BMW in 2023.
"BMW M Motorsport has played a significant role in my career from the very beginning," Martin reflected, expressing gratitude for his seven years as a BMW M works driver while looking forward to new challenges.
Andreas Roos, BMW Motorsport head, praised Martin's contributions, highlighting his importance to the works driver lineup and his achievements in both endurance and sprint racing. "He has been a tremendous asset to the BMW M Motorsport family in every aspect," Roos stated, wishing Martin success in his future endeavors.
