McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have expressed interest in competing at the Le Mans 24 Hours, according to McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown. This revelation comes as McLaren appears to be moving closer to entering the FIA World Endurance Championship's Hypercar category.

Speaking at the 2025 WEC season opener in Qatar, Brown emphasized his appreciation for versatile drivers who compete across different racing disciplines. He referenced Norris's previous experience at the Rolex 24 At Daytona in 2018 with United Autosports, and both drivers' enthusiasm for potentially racing at Le Mans.

"Who doesn't want to win Le Mans?" Brown remarked. "I've talked to Lando and Oscar about it, and they've said they'd love to go race Le Mans."

The timing appears favorable for McLaren's potential return to top-level sports car racing. The 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours marks the 30th anniversary of McLaren's historic overall win with the F1 GTR. The team already has a presence in the LMGT3 category through Brown's United Autosports team.

Brown hinted at potential announcements regarding McLaren's sports car racing future this June, stating, "We're impressed with the rules, the competition. It's fair to say that LMGT3 was us dipping our toe back in the water."

As the only team to have won motorsport's 'Triple Crown,' McLaren's potential entry into the Hypercar category would align with their racing heritage. Brown confirmed his commitment to Le Mans, noting he will prioritize attending the French event over the conflicting Montreal Grand Prix this year.

"We just need to look at how we are doing in Formula 1 and IndyCar," Brown added. "I don't think the timing has ever really been better. We'd love to go for the overall win in Le Mans."
