Lando Norris took the first stint behind the wheel on a cold Thursday morning at the British Grand Prix venue, with teammate Oscar Piastri scheduled to drive later in the day.

Following their constructors' championship victory in 2024, McLaren Racing director Zak Brown has set ambitious targets for 2025, aiming to secure both the drivers' and constructors' titles. Brown acknowledged that while the team has made progress since their championship-winning MCL38, the true competitive order won't be clear until qualifying in Australia.

Team principal Andrea Stella emphasized the increasing competitiveness of the grid, noting that 2024's close racing is likely to continue into the new season.

Stella highlighted the collaborative effort between the McLaren team and Mercedes HPP in preparing for the upcoming season, with focus now shifting to maximizing pre-season testing before the Australian Grand Prix.
